From 18. to 21. September 2025, the Brugger Dokumentarfilmtage will be showing new documentaries from around the world – many of them Swiss premieres, some even world premieres. Now in its third year, the film festival once again offers an exciting programme that reflects the diversity of documentary storytelling, accompanied by a wide-ranging supporting programme with film discussions and culinary delights.

Around 30 films will be shown, including the premieres of FIORE MIO, MOLA, NEBELKINDER, WIDER THAN THE SKY and AUSGSTIGN. The programme will be complemented by retrospectives and panel discussions.

The competition for young documentary filmmakers, which was launched in 2023, has become an integral part of the festival. In 2025, 15 short films from over 140 submissions will be shown. The audience will once again be able to vote for their favourite.

The Brugger Dokumentarfilmtage will take place at the cinemas ODEON and Excelsior and at the Salzhaus Brugg.

In collaboration with the Zimmermannhaus Brugg, artistic works on the theme of ‘Off the Wall’ will be shown – with works by Rebecca Kunz and Caroline Hepting as well as Andy Storchenegger.
